Is 'estadounidense' used as a noun for 'American' ? How common is it compared with 'Americano' ?

Can it be used as a noun/adjective for the American English language ?

Estadounidense is used to identify someone from the United States. In this manner it is usually a noun. It can be used as an adjective as well, but this usage is not as common.

In Europe and Asia most people call the USA "América" as they don´t concentrate on the fact that every country in the Americas is "América", not just the USA. But anywhere in the world the language usage is, ie: inglés británico, americano, etc

Inglés estadounisense would not be grammatically incorrect, but it isn´t generally spoken.
