The Oxford Spanish Dictionary 4th Edn gives/lists piernas (plural form ) to mean a nobody

Es un piernas = He's a nobody (España/Spain)

On the surface of it this word seems like a derogatory term/insult that you would probably do well to avoid if you want to/are seeeking to make friends above Native Hispanic (Spanish-speaking) people!

I have not heard of this word but accept that it could also mean : twit/ idiot. Some of the meanings of words vary according to the region/geographical location.and may mean one thing in Spain yet something slightly diffreent in South America. I would be interested to hear what the natives have to say here!

Used with the appropriate article: las piernas this refers to/means: legs

ex: << Doctor, me duele las piernas /Doctor, tengo un dolor de las piernas = Doctor, my legs hurt! >>
