"Dueño" in romantic context
In songs from Venezuela and Colombia, I hear lines like "eres mi dueña" or "quiero ser tu dueño" etc. Clear enough, the singer is saying "I'm yours," or "I want you to be mine."
However, the idea of ownership of another person is a bit questionable. I'm just wondering whether, when, in what context this usage might be current.

In Spanish: La música y la poesía utiliza ese "amor romántico" necesario, único y perfecto basado en la idea de que una persona soltera está incompleta, y que tu pareja te completa a ti y tu vida dándola sentido. En otro contexto la idea de propiedad hablando de otra persona no tiene sentido.
In English: Music and poetry use that necessary, unique and perfect 'romantic love' based in the idea that a single person is incomplete, and your partner completes you, and your life, making it has sense. In other context. In other context the idea of ownership of another person hasn't got sense.
