Help me with this spanish translation

Question

Hello, so i'm having trouble with a translation exercise, I need help with the following....

'Quiero que vuelva, aunque veces me sucede con las personas lo mismo que con los perros, procuro deprenderme de ellos poco a poco, porque sufro de una manera inaguantable cuando los pierdo.'

'En realidad no se trata de una casa, sino de tres unidas. Lucas y yo nos fuimos apropiando de los apartamentos que se iban quedando vacíos en la cuarta planta, porque pensábamos compartirlos con varios amigos cuando los hijos se independizaran'

I understand the words in general seperately but together in the sentence they aren't making any sense! Hopefully someone can help me!

I hope you know that there are errors in the Spanish text and that the paragraphs are two completely different ideas. I am curious from where these two lines of texts came? Can you please elaborate? I hope they are not teaching this stuff in school. - jphip, Sep 3, 2014

You refer to this as a translation exercise which suggests to me that this is some homework

We do not do people's homework for them but we would both ask and encourage you to try to post your best attempt at translating this same text and then we will be happy to offer corrections, guidance and advice. Please don't worry about any mistakes you make, just have a go
