The translations here are correct, but a more natural phrase would be: Pasar un rato con mis amigos.

Yes, in Mexico everything is "un rato". Un rato más can be five minutes or a couple of hours. - gringojrf, Sep 3, 2014

"Spent time with friends" would directly translate to "tiempo con los amigos." On the other hand, to spend time with friends would be "pasar tiempo con (mis/tus/sus/los/las) amigos/amigas. Remember to conjugate the verb pasar if needed smile
