The sentence basically translates to "I'm not well/feeling fine, i am very/feeling very___. " It is probably mal, with mal(meaning bad) being opposite of bien (meaning good). Hope that helped

I agree with Helado_eclectico that I would need more information because i am honestly stumped on the word having a "g" in the middle of it. Are you sure there is a "g" in the middle and no more than three letters in the word? - elianatrixnpix, Sep 4, 2014

In response to your comment to eliana, I think it would be handy if you posted more of the crossword. Mal seems like the correct word for this gap, so I would hazard a guess that you made a mistake with that 'g'.

I believe the answer is mal. Bien means good and mal is bad (in feelings), therefore if you aren't bien than you must be mal
