How do I write 3:00 in Spanish?

Hello trash
We dont do people's homework for them but as the answer has already been given I will add a note of clarification! ![]()
If you are saying It is three o 'clock in the afternoon you would say :Son las 3 de la tarde (or Son las tres de la tarde) if you are suig the 12 hour clock but of course if you use the 24 hour clock you would not need to as the hour 15.00 hrs could only mean 3pm or 17.00 hrs could only mean 5pm
Anosther example using the 12 hour clock : If you were meaning 11 o' clock in the morning you would say Son las 11 de la mañana
It is very important to specify exactly the time you mean especially as you could be arranging a time to meet someone, special and it would be a total waste of time and effort if you made an arrangement with someone but each of you had thought you were going to meet at a different time of day: the first person in the morning; but the second at night
Chico 1 << ¿Te gustaría tomar un café conmigo, más tarde?>> = " Would you like to go out for a coffee with me, later?"
Chica 2 << Sí claro ¿A qué hora nos encontramos y dónde? >> = ""Yes, of course. What time shall we meet, and where? "
Chico: << A las diez ¿Te viene bien a ti? Y al lado de la fuente, en la plaza mayor >> At ten o' clock ...is it convenient for you? And next to the fountain in the Main Square
Chica (pensando de las 10 de la mañana) Está bien. Nos vemos, amigo Chau
Of course they never get to meet because they have not specified the exact time of day they wish to meet: morning, afternoon, evening or night, so she arrives there in the morning while he is working and he arrives at night while she is sleeping! lol
I know/realize this may seem very far fetched (unbelievable) but it is just given to illustrate how important it s to add the words de la mañana, de la tarde, o de la noche to the time of day and not assume the other person knows excatly what you mean/or are thinking! ![]()
I hope this helps ![]()
