When writing numbers over 100 would I write 1.776 as mil setecientos setenta y seis in Spanish?

Si. In Spanish it is the opposite as it is in English.Periods in place of commas and commas in place of periods.¿ Simple? ¿No? ( Seriously I don't know why).Life has no reason.
