Pronouns questions
Hi all, I have a new middle school student that speaks no English so I am quickly using up my Spanish skills.
Question: I want to say to him: "We have some pages for you in Spanish."
Should I translate this as: "Tenemos algunos paginas para usted en espanol."
Or, does this require use of indirect object pronoun? "Le tenemos algunos paginas..."
THANKS in advance. It's nice to be forced to keep learning Spanish quickly!

Let's say I took out the "para ti". Is there a way to use the IO pronoun to indicate the same thing? Or is it a rule that IO pronouns cannot be used with tener?
For what you want to say, no.
The sentence construction you suggest is used for a completely different meaning, ie: Te tengo en mis pensamientos ..... You are (I have you) in my thoughts.
I don´t understand what you mean by "pages". If they are in a book: páginas; a form; formulario; sheets of paper; hojas.
"para ti" is the preposition and IO pronoun.
Ella dio el libro a mí. She gave the book to me.
Ella tiene un libro para mí. She has a book for me.
With "tener" no, since you are not saying that you are "giving something to him", or "saying something to him".
I would probably address him in the "tú" form. And "páginas" is feminine, so you need "algunas".
Tenemos algunas páginas para ti en español.
Thank you both. Let's say I took out the "para ti". Is there a way to use the IO pronoun to indicate the same thing? Or is it a rule that IO pronouns cannot be used with tener?
