I didn't know what was 'otero' and confuses me aaah but here my attempt

'Me gusta andar por los oteros" (I like walking on the hillocks)

"Me gusta andar por el otero" (I like walking on the hillock)

A mi, me gusta caminar por los cerros/ las sierras/ los senderos de las montañas.

I have never heard ' otero' in use, but , certainly, people say cerros a lot, hills.

Please tell us more about your English (fluent?) and Spanish (beginner?) levels. Please also use the punctuation and written accents and ñ given in the posting box to properly post Spanish.

¡Hola! Me gustaría saber si la frase es correcta: Me gusta andar por otero. ¡Muchas gracias!

El español es correcto no sé si se dice como esto.

The Spanish is correct but I don't know if it said like this.

Caminar is a common word for "walk".

I dont have a spanish keyboard and i am not interested on using spanish punctuation. But thanks:) - Zeitgeist1989, Aug 29, 2014
This is a leaning site. We like to use correct spelling and punctuation as it is part of learning a language. The special characters do not require a keyboard you can click on them at the bottom of the box when you post a question or answer. - Jubilado, Aug 29, 2014
I have an English-y keyboard, and typing Spanish is a snap if you change the language setting for your keyboard to International (it should be set to US English by default). You just press apostrophe, alt or tilde plus vowel, interroban or 'n' and ¡voila! - Helado_eclectico, Aug 29, 2014
Also, to add to what Jubilado said: A couple of words in Spanish are only differentiated by the presence of accents or not (más/mas, está/esta, esté/éste/este leap to mind). Using the right spelling scheme will make it easier to understand you. - Helado_eclectico, Aug 29, 2014
@ Zeitgeist...Please do your best to use proper punctuation in both languages. It is important here within the forum. We are a learning site. Thanks. - rac1, Aug 29, 2014

Not completely sure whether you can 'andar por' a hillock, but if you can (I think yes), the phrasing should probably be: "Me gusta andar por los oteros" (I like to walk on the hillocks) or "Me gusta andar por el otero" (I like to walk on the hillock).

Obviously, you can use 'tus oteros', 'mis oteros' if there's a hillock sale going on somewhere, or 'sus oteros' if you have just mentioned the place where you like walking on hillocks.

"mientras que a Abel le gustaba andar por las colinas y praderas con sus rebaños." From Linguee. I would say yes. - Helado_eclectico, Aug 29, 2014
