En la página principal de SpanishDict.com utilizan la frase "El mejor traductor de inglés en el internet" Es correcto o debría usarse ¿El mejor traductor de inglés en la internet?

Internet is a foreign word to Spanish, so there can be arguments in favor of both: feminine because of la red (the web) or masculine because it´s not a Spanish word. However, the most widely used is the masculine variant with accent on the last sylable.
