Checking Pretérito o Imperfecto Tarea

Question

Para mi tarea de español, necesito completar frases con la forma corecta del verbo (pretérito o imperfecto). Ya completé la mayoría, pero necesito ayuda por las restantes. Mis respuestas son en "italics".

For my Spanish homework, I need to complete sentences with the correct form of the verb (preterite or imperfect). I already completed the majority, but I need help with the remaining ones. My answers are in italics.

1) Dorothy quería (querer) volver a Kansas, y los Munchkins le dijeron (decir) que el Mago de Oz podría ayudarla.

2) Por fin Dorothy y Toto volvieron (volver) a Kansas. Eran (Ser) las tres de la tarde cuando llegaron (llegar).

3) Rover quería (querer) a los niños más que a nadie. Siempre que ellos jugaban (jugar) Rover se encontraba (encontrar) por medio.
