Correct My Paragraph Por Favor
I posted something like this earlier, but I made a few changes and I'm wondering if you guys could please help me correct my mistakes if any. I still don't really understand my grammar, what verb conjugations to use, and if the vocab fits the situation. I really appreciate it! Thank you!
At the beginning of my summer, my sister and I went to Arizona to spend time with our grandmother. We went there a week after school ended. Al principio de mi verano, mi hermana y yo fuimos hasta Arizona para pasar tiempo con nuestra abuela. Fuimos allí una semana después de que terminó la escuela.
Unfortunately, while we were there, we had to help my cousin clean his house that he had just bought. It was unpleasant, because there were animal feces, garbage and mold everywhere! Desafortunadamente, mientras estábamos allí, tuvimos que ayudar a mi primo a limpiar su casa que él sólo había comprado. Fue desagradable, porque había excrementos de animales, basura y molde en todas partes!
Then we went back to Denver, I got a job as a nanny. I don't enjoy working as a baby-sitter, but this person needed help as soon as possible and she paid good money. I didn't know that the children I would be caring for were related to "the children of the corn". I regretted taking the job the rest of the summer. Después volvimos a Denver, conseguí un trabajo como niñera. No me gusta trabajar como niñera, pero esta persona necesitaba ayuda tan pronto como sea posible y pagó buen dinero. No sabía que estaría cuidando los niños estaban relacionados con "Los Niños del Maíz". Me arrepentí de aceptar el trabajo el resto del verano.
At the end of July, my mother, sister and I went to Rocky Mountain National Park. We brought our 4 dogs that made us insane and bothered us to the point where all I could do was laugh about it. I think that the highlight of my trip was that I saw my first moose! A finales de julio, mi madre, hermana y yo fuimos al Parque Nacional Rocky Mountain. Trajimos nuestros 4 perros que nos hizo una locura y nos molestaron al punto donde todo lo que podía hacer era reír de ello. ¡Creo que lo más destacado de mi viaje fue que vi mi primer alce!
Although I have not done many interesting things, I got to spend time with my family and friends, and enjoy the many wonders of barbecues. Aunque no he hecho muchas cosas interesantes, me puse a pasar el tiempo con mi familia y amigos, y disfrutar de las muchas maravillas de parrilladas.

(He just bought=(él)acaba de comprar, He just see=(él) acaba de ver...He had just=(él) acababa)Fue desagradable, porque había excrementos de animales, basura y moho en todas partes!

Me arrepentí de tomar el trabajo el resto del verano.

Bueno, leí todo, a mi parecer todo está bien escrito, pero no es seguro pues todavía estoy aprendiendo ingles, tengo mis dudas en: I didn't know that the children I would be caring for were related to "the children of the corn". No sé si está bien o mal.
