Again I cannot write any comment/Update

Question

Unfortunately the comment doesn't work, When I wanted to write some comments, in a pink line appeared the following sentence:"There was an error posting your comment."

I have been getting the same for the past hour or so as well. It is very annoying. It is also doing the click back up to the top and resetting every time I vote as well.

At least I can still edit- for Esteban- yes I am used to waiting for all the long complex video ads to load before I can do anything without it screwing it up (that includes sometimes even being able to select something to cut or copy). This is well beyond that this time. It doesn't work no matter how long I wait.

Normally I would have just put all of this in a comment.

Argggg!!!

This is starting to get frustrating. I've been desperately trying to comment for the past half hour, and I've completely failed!

Also, It's now impossible to flag someone! That's worse that not being able to comment on anything!

Margherite, are there any positions open on the CCC club? I'll take 2!!!!

Hi porcupine...this happens to me so often, I've started a Club at SD for afflicted members called the CCC. Congratulations on being the newest member. You won't gain any points, but you will receive a lot of frustration.

I just tried to comment on Mardle's Congrats thread with no luck whatsoever. I'm so bruised from being bounced to the top of the page so often that I'm giving up for today.

Esteban is also a member of the CCClub in good standing....listen to him, he knows of what he speaks.

Hola Porcupine, et al... Sometimes you can watch the web address – URL – and notice if it is processing, and when it stops you - can click on the comment bar and it will work. Other times – you simply have to wait, and eventually the SD web site corrects ( I also PM them about the problem, if it lasts past a day) – longest I’ve had to wait was three days. During that time – I sometimes wrote a PM to : - ) let someone know my thoughts.
Comment via an Edit: Another way around the no comment is via an identified edit ... demonstrated in Ian's post . . . Or make a comment in your own post as demonstrated by Bosquederoble to me . . .

Yes, doing it in someone else's will work only for users with over 2000 reputation points. And doesn't seem to work with my link.

I have been gone and busy all day. I just returned a little while ago. I cannot comment on anything anywhere in the forum. I sent feedback and email about this Saturday. They are not in their offices on the weekend, but I am hoping to hear something from them soon.

I know how aggravating this is to everyone. It is to me as well. I will send another email to the techs tomorrow morning if I don't hear from them before then. I apologize for all of this. Please be patient. I am sure they are working on it. I know that must sound like a broken record, but it's true. I will let you know as soon as I hear something.

Update!

I received a message from SD support. They have applies an update and this should eliminate the problems and issues we were all having. Let me or them know if you are having any other issues or if you are still having the same ones. Personally, everything is now working for me. Thank you everyone for your patience.

I may as well join the Club albeit reluctantly because living here in not only the

'worlds most liveable City, and friendliest , my thoughts are more ethereal and

cloud riven . My theory is that it is that these occurring problems may be due

to the antipodean takeover of the northern powers with oversized medulla oblongata's.

I have just experienced the same problem and received the same error message as Porcupine!

Is Stuart /are the management of this website aware of the ongoing problems posting comments??? What exactly is happening? Is this website not able to cope with the demand placed on it by so many of us using it at one time?

I suggest that we create a group Skype or at least as many as possible exchange Skype details so that if we have trouble entering SpanishDict one day we will at least be able to communicate in one way!

Rac and Ray, Ian and other mods, please keep us informed of what is happening
