Imperfecto del verbo

Question

Struggling a bit with these. My answers are in bold if someone could see if I have them correct and explain what I have wrong. Thanks.

Completa cada oración con el imperfecto del verbo indicado.

1. Cuando mi hermano era niño, tenia (tener) muchas alergias.

2. Yo estaba (estar) mareado con frecuencia.

3. Yo sufría (sufrir) muchos dolores de cabeza.

4. Cada primavera el doctor me recetaba (recetar) pastillas.

5. Después de tomar una pastilla, nos sentíamos (sentirse) mejor inmediatamente.

1st is correct but there needs to be an accent mark on I .. tenía.

2nd is correct.

3rd is correct.

4th is correct.

5th. Is also correct.

Answer #5 is basically a recounting of two completed and single actions that take place in one moment one after another, such as: First we did this, then we did that. I would use preterite in the second clause (nos sentimos).

A past imperfect action cannot take place in the time frame of "inmediatamente".

However, in the real world we would say something like: Después de tomar una pastilla, nos pusimos / empezamos a sentir mejor inmediatamente.
