There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. The winner will be chosen based upon the correct use of the word as well as the number of votes.
Guidelines:
Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Please keep political, religious or personal statements to a minimum. This is a practice game.

Se dice que si no te casas hay menos riesgo de separación, y este puede ser verdad. Hay muchas parejas que llevan años viviendo juntos de novios, pero después de tres meses como casados, quieren el divorcio.
It's said that if you don't marry there is less risk of separation and this might be true. There are many couples who have lived together for years as partners, but only three months after after getting married they want to get divorced.
Parece que la mayor de mi hijas (la que tiene treinta y un años) le ha dicho a su novio (de hace unos tres o cuatro años) que si no lleva un anillo para el fin del de año, lo dejará a él. It seems the oldest of my daughters (who is thirty-one years old) has told her boyfriend (of about 3 or 4 years) that if she is not wearing a ring by the end of the year, she is leaving him. I had always believed that the youngest (who is twenty-five years old) would be the first one married, but she and her boyfriend have decided to wait until their financial situation improves. None the less, it would not surprise me if the youngest were to be the first despite all of this.
