Acabaste de regresar de un año en una isla tropical ... dónde tu barco de vela se estrelló. Pero estuviste rescatado y ahora estás contando lo que habías hecho antes del rescate =
You returned from one year on a tropical island ... when your sailboat crashed. But you were rescued and now you are telling what you had done before the rescue.
I have been having a little bit of trouble translating this myself. It does not feel right. Could I please have some assistance. I just started learning spanish a few months ago.

Regresaste (Acabaste de regresar its ok) de un año en una isla tropical ... donde tu barco de vela se estrelló. Pero fuiste rescatado y ahora estás contando lo que habías hecho antes del rescate.
