How do you say things like:

Please stop by the store and get some milk on your way back home; We will buy the flowers on our way home/ on our way back; I don't want to carry them around; On the way back we saw some kids playing football

??? I didn't see any previous discussion about this after looking at many pages of expressions using the word "back."

Thanks in advance

de ida a - on the way to

de regreso de - on the way back from

- malbecblend, Jul 27, 2014
Perhaps but off the top of my head that would sound more like "at the turning point". - Kiwaiano, Jul 29, 2014

Your first two are OK, but they need proper conjugation. We also say: "Al regresar, ......." - 005faa61, Jul 27, 2014
To be frank I wouldn't really go with any of these. - Kiwaiano, Jul 27, 2014

Or ... El camino de vuelta a casa smile
