Anyone interested in going through 'Notes in Spanish' together?

Notes in Spanish is a podcast series for Spanish learners that aims to teach real life (Spain-based) Spanish. The creators suggest trying out the Spanish you learn in their forums to get practice and have your mistakes corrected. However, their forums are no longer active so I thought here would be a good place to work on the NiS information.

I figure we could do a separate thread for each podcast and use the thread to practice the new info, discuss what we've learned, and clarify any doubts. Also, having one podcast per thread would allow anyone to join the discussion at anytime.

So, is anyone interested?

edit: Here's the super-thread I made to link all the discussion to to make things easier http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/265055/notes-in-spanish-podcast-lesson-discussions-directory

Sounds interesting... Which level? - NikkiLR, Jul 22, 2014
All of them! haha, I just started redoing the beginner level to get some of the things I missed but I don't have a problem working on the other levels - broca23, Jul 22, 2014

Don' t know; this could be interesting. I'm using NiS (Intermediate level) & am currently listening to podcasts 2-6 (e.g. "la lluvia). Since I don't subscribe to the "helpsheets", I often stumble on a phrase & play that segment over & over. Sometimes, it's frustrating, but the more I listen, the better I get. Maybe your idea would make it easier.

Well I guess the only way to find out if it'll work is to give it a whirl- I'm off to make a few threads.

t8805jg, you have to buy the worksheets, but I think you can sample some for free.

Just start a thread ('ask a question') and call it "NiS Intermediate Podcast 6 - La lluvia". Put an explination and link the audio =)

I have a lot of the "worksheets"

  • I have linked them to the free audios so that I can read and listen at the same time.

Lots of good stuff.

Ian-Hill: How does one access those "worksheets"? Also, how do I begin discussion on one of these threads? For example, the one I mentioned n y earlier post (Intermediate podcast #6 "la lluvia")
