What are you like?
There is more than one meaning, in English, for the sentence What are you like? The answer is dependent on the context!
I can think of at least two possible meanings:
1 Descriptive. This is where a person is asking for a description of a person. Perhaps a girl is wanting to know something about a guy she is interested in before she asks him out!

What are you like? (ie: What do you look like?/What kind of personality do you have?)
¿Cómo eres?
The person answering could/might respond: Soy moreno, alto y atlético (I am darkhaired, tall and athletic.) or... if they were talking about their personality they might reply: Soy inteligente y amable con un buen sentido de humor. (I am intelligent and kind with a good sense of humour)
2.Emphatic! (with gentle/affectionate well-intentioned humour) This second context involves a commonly used idiom/colloquial phrase;
Some friends are gathered together at a social event and one of these friends knocks over a drink stains their shirt or their dress.
A friend notices it and says with a laugh: What are you like! (ie: isn't that just typical!)
I am not sure how the Spanish say this but I will check it out and if I find a possible answer I will post it!
¡Es tipico de tí!, ¿no! (Well) isn't that just typical of you!
