¿Puede cualquiera ayudarme, por favour? Can anyone help me please with comprehending an expression.
I am studying through Instituto Cervantes at present and everything is in Spanish. I would appreciate it if someone could give me an explanation in English for the end of the following sentence.
Mi madre dice que soy muy desordenado, porque siempre dejo todo por el medio. My mother says that I am very disorganised because I always leave - Does "dejo todo por el medio" mean I leave everything in a mess or half done or on the floor? What does it mean?

I can't say I've seen exactly that phrase used before but I would loosely translate it as 'out of place' but I guess the closest known phrase I could refer to is 'por en medio' which can mean 'in the way'.
