If you're not too clear on the differences between these very common verbs then I hope that this mini lesson will help smile

I'm afraid not, perhaps you'll find the lesson to be helpful ;) - Kiwi-Girl, Jul 21, 2014
Informative lesson...Thanks! I think the person who posted the above comment might be a Spanish speaker, and s/he kind of said what you wrote in the lesson. How is this person wrong? - GraceM, Jul 21, 2014
Kiwi, it is like Unicmaty says... - chileno, Jul 21, 2014
Please see my entry. - chileno, Jul 21, 2014
@ Chileno & Grace, the answer has changed since I first commented lol - it used to say ""Ir" is the verb in present for go to a place and "irse" is the verb in past". - Kiwi-Girl, Jul 21, 2014
It's all becoming clear now. :D Thanks, Kiwi-Girl. - GraceM, Jul 22, 2014

To go = ir

To leave = dejar/salir/irse

To go out = salir/dejar (un lugar)/irse (de un lugar)

See?

go out no se usa para referirse a una salida? por ejemplo "esta noche salimos" - 003e54f5, Jul 21, 2014
yes Pablo you're right, I would describe irse as 'to leave from' rather than 'to go out' ;) - Kiwi-Girl, Jul 21, 2014
Gotcha!!! thanks Kiwi - 003e54f5, Jul 21, 2014
