Please try it in the translator yourself, but the spelling is wrong. - ray76, Jul 13, 2014
Hi Hwalton. I have no idea what that word is. It must be misspelled. - rac1, Jul 13, 2014
It is probably a proper name , it sounds Asian. - ray76, Jul 14, 2014

Hi Hwalton smile

In order to know how best to help you, we need some clarification so please could you respond to these points/ answer these questions?

1 This word suin is not a Spansh word we recognise ..are you sure that you have copied it down here (in this question) correctly, please? I could not even find it listed in the Spanish section of my extensive, Oxford English/Spanish Dictionary (4th edn)

2 Could you provide us with some more context , please...what else does she (su novia) say in the same sentence or the preceding sentence or the one following?

3 Which Spanish speaking country does your girlfriend/fiance come from, please? Assuming that neither you nor your girlfriend have mispelt the word , it could be a regional word. If she is from Mexico, she could be using a word from Mixtec. Please see linkk for details: enter link description here

You arew elcome, Rac Some one else on this site opned my eyes to this article I can't remember who and it just made me think that it could be a word from a different language or a misspelt Spanish one. :) - FELIZ77, Jul 14, 2014

Perhaps you wanted to ask .... ¿Qué quiere decir 'suin'? (what does 'suin' mean? wink

hmmmm - any more context? it's not a word that I've come across before, perhaps it's slang, an abbreviation or a misspelling

You do not say whether your girlfriend speaks any dialect. Feliz pointed out one of the indigenous languages in Mexico -there are lots. When I looked on the internet I found:

Qué suin, qué filin: expresión para indicar elegancia

It was in an article about Spanish spoken in the Dominican republic:

Spanish - Santo Domingo

If you don't understand, why don't you ask your Girlfriend?
