When using the verb parecer, how do the plural forms work? My question is when to used parece vs parecen.

3rd person singular: parece = you(formal(/he/she/it seems

3rd person plural: parecen = you (formal)/they(plural regardless of sex)/it(plural) seems

When the subject is singular use the singular verb form. When the subject is plural use the plural verb form. You asked about the 3rd person verb forms so that is what I addressed above but the statement at the beginning of this paragraph applies to 1st, 2nd or 3rd person.

But, it also depends on context. - chileno, Jul 9, 2014
Yes. Also context. This is just an example. Parecer has many different usages but the basics of singular vs. plural do not change. Except for gustar type verbs. - gringojrf, Jul 9, 2014
