What is the difference in meaning of verb between: -yo escucho (Indicative, present) -yo escuche(Subjunctive, present)

I hear you (present indicative)

I may/might hear you (present subjunctive)

I hear what you are saying. Escucho lo que estás diciendo.

I might hear what you are saying if you stop screaming. Quizás escuche lo que estás diciendo si pare de gritar.

Are you asking the question as a test for us [ie you know the answer] or do you want an explanation? Your profile gives no clues as to your language level.

Usually you gain fluency in the verb tenses then start learning the subjunctive when you learn the imperative [commands]

The subjunctive alters the mood. You use the other tenses to state facts. The subjunctive deals with doubt/conjecture/ emotion.

Some of the changes in meaning using the subjunctive are subtle but others canchange the meaning. However, it is easier to explain if you have a situation in mind. First person and escuchar are quite limited.
