Is "Tranquila" a way to say be calm or no worries

I have a pen pal from Spain, and often in his letters to me, he writes the word" tranquila". He uses it as a transiton. Almost as often as he uses "bueno" . Is it a way to say "no worries" or "be calm"? Doesn't tranquila mean calm or quiet?

Is this a common expression in Spain? Okay thank you very much! (: I hope that everyone is having a fantastic day! xxoo

Correct. Other than just its regular meaning, it also can be used to say stuff like "be calm", "don't worry" or "don't fret"

My answer is based upon my experience with Latinos. You would say "tranquila" to a female, and "tranquilo" to a male. It means "be calm" or "no worry."

"Tranquila todo estará bien" Tranquila mujer. Tranquilo hombre. Mantén la calma.

Tranquila es una palabra femenina.

La noche esta tranquila.

Y tranquilo es una palabra masculina.

El sitio está tranquilo.

Lo que quiere decir que está bien.
