appeal to//of/ for

Question

Me gustaría hacer un par de preguntas de gramática inglesa.

el verbo appeal (atracción, apelación de un recurso ) ¿cuando se utiliza seguido del to , of , for.?

y por otro lado, si yo dijera que me siento atraído por el mundo de los vinos y su cultura.

¿que verbo utilizaría I am appealed to or I am attracted to the wine culture?

The verb "appeals to" works in English like the verb "gustar" in Spanish. The culture appeals to me. You would never say "I am appealed to..." - Jubilado, Jun 30, 2014

To start at the end - either the culture of wine appeals to me, or I am attracted to the culture of wine. The actual science of grape growing and production ie what happens in a vineyard is known as viticulture. However,in my country there are few vineyards,but wine s sold from all over the world and many people are very interested in knowing more about different grape varieties and wines.

More than 20 years ago the BBC produced a series of programmes,introduced by Jancis Robinson,a Master of Wine about different wines. Excerpts are on Youtube. Her speech is a little clipped, but if you are interested in wine try watching. Here is the first one:

Appeal to and Appeal for are phrasal verbs.

Below is a link which gives you many phrasal verbs and their applications, including appeal to and appeal for.

'Appeal' is a noun which you should check in the dictionary for definition and usage.
