Our new site!
Thank you all for all your feedback! Please continue to send us any issues you may have with the new site to our support@spanishdict.com email so that we can keep track of it. A few things to note:
- The accents are still there you just need to expand on the search box by clicking on the arrows next to the "Translate" tab.
- Our background images will change occasionally and you can find out about them by clicking on the black circle near the center of the image. Today's photo is an array of Mexican Tribal Masks.
- Our lessons are still there you can go directly to them by clicking on Courses here.
If you need anything else please do let us know.
Saludos a todos, Martha

Muy bonito, aunque sigo opinando que a la web le falta el chat que tenia hace tiempo, al menos un día a la semana y moderado para que sea más fácil aprender español para la gente, por lo demás perfecto
Same as gringojrf.
I would like the menu to be like it was before. The rest is just dandy.
Thank you Martha and everyone at SpanishDict for all your hard work in making SD a great place to learn. It is much appreciated.
The new format is super clean and easy to navigate. I'm happy it's finally here. It looks very sophisticated and beautifully done.
I would like the Courses to be on the menu. If I can only find it on this thread, it seems like the free Spanish lessons are too hard to find and the advertising should change to being a pay site.
It still takes a few more clicks to get to the menu.
I have changed over also. --But I am still unable to write out a post correctly
It is still all jumbled into one line , with an image not showing until one submits ,
it makes it very hard when doing long congratulatory posts.
I agree with the others the menu should be open as before. Thank you for
listening to our suggestions.
Está bien organizado pero sería perfecto ver notificaciones y tener un chat
I like the changes overall, it looks great.
I would like to suggest that for specifying our language abilities we add another option, Native.
A person can be fluent in a language but not a native speaker. I think it's an important distinction. It would also help make it clear which language a person is trying to learn.
I miss the feature on the old site where when you looked up a word, you could click on a star and easily add the word to your flashcards. Can you bring this feature back?
Very clean presentation. Extremely easy to read. The only negative comment I have is very minor. When in Q&A and you enter a thread, to return to Q&A now requires two clicks instead of just one.
Overall nice changes.
I will agree it is quite pretty. I do like the old menu bar that I don't have to click on twice for the options, but I can learn to live with that.
Of the things I regularly do, the only thing I seem to be unable to locate is the users tab- where you search for specific users, and browse through all the top users. And link to the latest activity feature.
I may just not be able to find it, so if anyone could tell me where it is I would be most appreciative.
Except for the glitch with posting images and a bit of a dogs breakfast on writing
out a post , I like the new format, it is much clearer , and the set-up is attractive .
When it has settled down I would say it will be a winner , but not being being able to view
the image and the script before submitting is a disappointment and makes it hard to use.
It looks nice, but I agree with the rest, open up the menu at the top like it was in the old format.
When designing websites, a major goal is to allow the user to access what is needed in the fewest amount of clicks possible, or else people will take their "traffic" elsewhere. This new format seems designed to increased the amount of clicks needed. I'm worried that it will dissuade new users from using SpanishDict.
As matter of fact, just like the links for signing in and the menu are there, the links should be spread on top and what does not fit make a drop out like the actual menu with the rest of the links.
I love the new site but I've been trying to delete a post as I put the wrong image up. I could only see the option to edit, not delete. Am I missing it?
Below the flashcards- the print and favorites buttons are White Font on a very light background- almost invisible (actually invisible for me at first)- they do get a nice blue when you hover over them, but you have to be lucky enough to do that in the right place.
Solved for me now that I know where to find those buttons, but may be hard for someone who doesn't know.
I use the favorites button to put a set or use on my list to come back to later, when I don't want to do the flashcards right now, but don't want to loose track of them. It is a very useful feature, even if I am not using it for what the name implies the original intent was.
