Hello Ariadneowl

Welcome to the SpanishDict forum. smile

You asked:

How do you ask, "would he drown?" A girl is wondering what would happen if the water went over a boy's head.

Would a boy drown if the water went over (were to go over/cover) his head?

You need to use the verb ahogarse here: I think that you could say:

= ¿Un niño se ahogaría si el agua sumergiera la cabeza? / o ¿Se ahogaría un niño si el agua sumergiera la cabeza?

I hope this helps smile

Corrijan mi español, por favor smile

"Ahogar" is transitive, so in this senario it must be "ahogarse" - 005faa61, Jun 14, 2014
