There are three forms of "Dónde" to watch for. They are:

¿Dónde? Where?

¿Adónde? To where? , and

¿De dónde? From where?

.

SpanishDict has a reference page for "Question Words" at:

http://www.spanishdict.com/answers/100038/questions

This is a good page to refer to as are all of the Reference pages.

I don´t know how to explain this but I'll try:

¿De dónde eres? Where are you?

¿Dónde estabas? Where were you?

Also there are the words: "Adonde" and "a donde"

Los niños tienen una escuela adonde acuden a estudiar Children are attending school where study.

Siempre es bueno tener una casa a donde llevar una barra de pan. Always good to have a home to take a loaf of bread.

Welcome to SpanishDict. Please use proper capitalization and punctuation in your posts. Also, if you do a search, you will find answers to many of your questions. Here is what I found when I did a search: Dónde, Adónde, De dónde

Here is a link to the search: Search
