PortugueseDict?
Hey guys,
I hope no one gets offended that I ask this question here since it's a bit off topic perhaps, but I've had SO much help of SpanishDict learning Spanish, especially the forum and the verb charts, and I would like to know if there is anything similar for Portuguese? I can't seem to find any good pages at all.
Thank you so much!!

I am impressed. I remember a friend from Estoril giving us some lessons. Written down it is similar to Spanish, but sounds completely different. The Guardian has some brief lessons - I checked as they have similar material for Spanish; The Guardian I think there is a similar site to the Spanish one Cervantes: Like Cervantes This site in the USA has good resources for Spanish too: Brazilpod
Finally some guys in Brazil American and Australian have a large fun site for learning English, much of the material is also available in Portuguese and there is a forum - I'm sure you could sneek in some questions about Portuguese! Having looked it now looks more slick and I cannot find the Portuguese - you can alter the language to Portuguese. It is very good for tips on language learning and if you want to understand English better: Real Life English
Hello Carolina,/Oi Carolina
Good afternoon/ Boa tarde
Do you want to learn Brazilian Portuguese or the Portuguese that they speak in Portugal?
There is quite a difference in the pronounciation. I was taking lessons for a couple of years (2 years) from a native from São Paolo Brazil who was also the youth pastor in our church. The sounds of the words in Brazilian Portuguese are more open than in Portuguese from Portugal.

You can find native teachers who can teach you various languages on this website but they will make a charge for the lessons that varies according to the skills and expereince of each teacher. Some just teach their own native language while others teach two or three, eg: Spanish, French and Italian. However, many offer a free, trial lesson which allows you to see if you would be happy to continue receiving lessons with that same teacher..
I will add more when I become aware of others

Mango Languages has lessons in Brazilian Portuguese. The Mango course was the first one I took in Spanish. It was free through my local library. It was pretty much rote learning, but it was a start.
