Por Favor Ayudar!! What is the spanish word(s) for creek???
I was using riachuelo which translates to brook or stream but i am not sure if that is exactly what I am trying to express. I'm trying to express a body of water that is large enough to swim or wade in. ....nothing like a river or lake....but a creek...
Please tell me some words that equate to a creek
Gracias!!!

I agree with Rac, arroyo or riachuelo wd be the way to go. Even in English it's not easy to differentiate between a brook, a stream and a creek but according to Rae an arroyo is a short flow of water, nearly continuous and a riachuelo is a small, gently flowing river.
Hi Robin. Check this link out in the RAE for "creek." Creek
I believe you need the word, "arroyo." or "riachuelo" which is a small stream or brook.
My dictionary gives the following for creek:
1 (GB) ensenada = an "inlet"
2 (USA) riachuelo = a "stream"
Another opinion is this:
U.S., Canada, and Australia. a stream smaller than a river.
a stream or channel in a coastal marsh.
Chiefly Atlantic States and British . a recess or inlet in the shore of the sea.
an estuary.
British Dialect . a narrow, winding passage or hidden recess.
