Mexico clothing norms?
I'm going to Cuernavaca, Mexico with a group from my school, and the professor mentioned that women dress conservatively in Mexico and not to wear certain things (she used me as the "don't" example, I was wearing shorts and a tank top). I was just wondering if anybody knows how conservative she means? Does she mean all pants and skirts should come below the knee, or just not too far above knee length? Are sleeveless tops okay?
I should probably add that I have never traveled before, so this is all new to me. I've heard that the weather in Cuernavaca is around 80 degrees this time of year. Does anyone have any suggestions for what clothes are appropriate to pack?

In general your teacher is correct. Men tend to wear jeans and women dresses. But the rules for tourists are always a little more relaxed and here in Baja, where I live, men and women often wear shorts.
Here is a youtube video I found that might give an idea about the standard attire. I am not commenting about the subject of the video but it does show large numbers of people and how they are dressed.
