Give an example in Spanish and English of your most embarrassing moment

Note in Spanish 'embarrassing' = Vergonsoso.

I'm sorry my love, I think I was tired and drank too much.

With my eyes shut, and earphones in both my ears,I did not hear the office door open. I had been miming to my favorite love song for some minutes.I do not know for how long she had been there, but when I opened my eyes,my boss was sitting in the opposite chair - Smiling!

I was practicing with my Spanish professor, and I used what I thought was the word for "Awesome". She started chuckling. When I asked why she was laughing, she told me that the word, which I had worked hard to memorize, was actually a severe profanity!

A few months ago my family and I went on a trip to India. On the second day we took a bus from Chennai to a town nearby and my sister told me that the ride should take an hour and a half. Of course I had gone to the bathroom before we got on the bus but even so an hour later I desperately needed to pee. Worse still, it turned out that the bus we were on was simply taking us outside Chennai and the real journey hadn't even started. When we finally reached the stop from where we had to take the "real" bus, my sister spotted a police station across the street and told me to go there while she bought our tickets.

The police station consisted of one big room full of policemen and - thank God! - one single policewoman. I went straight to her, my hands clasped in prayer and said: "Please, I need to go to the bathroom!" Everybody in the room turned and stared at me. The woman gave me an incredulous, bemused smile, turned to ask someone for advice - her boss presumably - and then led me to their bathroom. I don't know if the policemen there remember the day when a short white woman rushed in and begged to use the bathroom but I will never forget it.

Great story! I spent a few years in India, and the people there are very gracious! Unfortunately, they have incredible memories! I bet your story is still being told there! - 00ffada9, Jun 6, 2014

In high school I played lead guitar in a band. One time we had started to play at a school dance in front of many students when I realized that the guy who played rhythm was in the key of G when he should have been in A. Well I did the worst thing that could have been done, I stopped playing and I told him to stop playing in G, that the song was in A. After a mountain of laughter we again but correctly played the same song, but with red faces for a while. True story.
