Irregular yo forms, estar + adjective and direct objects.

Hey! Tomorrow is my Spanish 1 final and i know everything we needed to study except for Irregular yo forms, estar + adjectives and direct objects. If anyone sees this please, please reply to this!

There is no such thing as "irregular Yo forms". We have regular verbs and irregular verbs.

Some general rules to know:

verbs with the endings "cer" and "cir" change to "zco"

conocer > conozco

traducir > tracuzco

Verbs that end in "gir" and "ger" change to "jo"

escoger > escojo

corregir > corrijo

Verbs with "guir" change to "go"

seguir > sigo

Also remember the stem changing verbs:

u > ue contar > cuento

e > ie entender > entiendo

e > i (ir verbs only) pedir > pido

These are general rules there are exceptions but other people have listed those so i'll leave it at this.

• Infinitives ending with -ucir change to -zco Producir yo produzco

• Infinitives ending with -cer or - cir preceded by a consonant, z replaces c in yo forms Convencer yo convenzo

Ok veevee, I think that I have an idea of what you are talking about. I believe that I'm taking the same Spanish 1 class as well. (:

"Irregular yo forms" are verbs that have 'yo' conjugations that are different than the regular yo conjugations. Most verbs, such as bailar, drop the infinitive and add an o for their 'yo' conjugation. However, some verbs conjugate differently, and we call these verbs "Irregular yo forms". In our class we learned about a few main verbs that have irregular yo forms. They are:

Oír (To hear)

Tener (To have)

Conocer (To know [person or place])

Hacer (To do/To Make)

Ir (To be going)

These are the yo conjugations for those verbs:

Oír: Yo oigo

Tener: Yo tengo

Conocer: Yo conozco

Hacer: Yo hago

Ir: Yo voy

They are other verbs that have irregular yo forms, however these are the ones we've learned so far in our Spanish 1 class.
