Can you translate the sentence " she cares too much about her work" I went on google translate but it said "ella se preocupa demasiado por su trabajo" which also means she worries about her work. Is google translate correct? If not, what is the correct sentence.

Thnx in advance

Yes .. it actually depends on what you are tryimg to say .. because "to care for" does have an undertone of worrying ... but you are right that it doesn't exactly mean that she cares for her job ..

Well depending on what you are exactly trying to say ,, you may chose either of the following :

Querer (to wish for, to care for, to want, to desire) ,, ella quiere mucho su trabajo .. (she cares a lot for her work .. in the sense of loving her work or having a sense of belonging with her work)..

Importar (used as an intransitive verb means to matter ) .. a ella le importa mucho su trabajo .. (her work matters a lot to her).

Cuidar (this one can be used to indicate that she takes good care of her job or that she is attentive towards her job) .. ella cuida su trabajo muchísimo (she cares a lot for her job , in the sense of taking care of her job well) .. or .. ella cuida bien de su trabajo..

So a single word "to care" may have multiple connotations .. it actually depends on what one is trying to say or convey ..

Hope this helps smile
