punctuation marks on flashcards.
How do I put the punctuation marks (stress marks, tildes, etc.) on my words in the flashcards? I see them on other lists on Spanish dictionary.

You can add an input language (Spanish) using windows - click to their help and support tab - type in "Add or change an input language." They have a short (under 2 min.) video you can watch. - The input language link that comes up after you ask (via) "help" also gives step by step directions.
It's not too complicated - I have managed it with just about three clicks - It will create a toggle switch on your desk top that will allow you to more easily switch from a standard English display to Spanish. From your keyboard you can then more quickly and easily type the special characters: such as ñ, vowel accents - á, é, í, ó, ú - and ¿what else?- oh yes - punctuation marks. They offer other languages too- everything from Afrikaans to Yoruba . . .
It's been well worth the limited time and effort it took me to add the icon: ES [Spanish ~de Costa Rica] to my desk top, and to practice using it. ¡Buene suerte!
The special punctuation signs and alphabet are below the box in which you type. Clicking on (or touching) the one you want will insert it where the cursor happens to be. This is what I do.
If you're using a Mac, all that you have to do to type a letter with special marks such as accents is hold down the letter on the keyboard corresponding to it and a list with possible letters will come up. To type the letter that you want, look for the number under the letter and press that number. For example, if you hold down a, a menu with àáâäæãå? will show on the screen. Under each character is a number; 1 is under à, 2 is under á, and so on and so forth. Once you press a number on the keyboard, the corresponding letter will appear. Hope this helps.
