can someone please translate this for me: Hay personas que crean conflictos y personas que sacan lo mejor de ti. Tu eliges a tus amistades y a tu pareja. Elige estar con gente inspiradora.

I got 3 different translations and can not figure out which one is correct:

1) There are people who create conflicts and people that get the best of you. You choose your friends and your partner. Choose being with inspiring people.

2)There are people that create conflict and people who can make the best out of it. You choose your friends and your partner. You choose be with inspiring people.

3)There are persons that there create conflicts and persons who extract the best thing of you. You choose to your friends and to your couple(partner). It chooses to be with the inspiring people.

My attempt:

There are people who create conflict and bring out the best in you. You choose your friends and your partner. Choose to be with inspiring people.

Hay personas que crean conflictos y personas que sacan lo mejor de ti. Tu eliges a tus amistades y a tu pareja. Elige estar con gente inspiradora.

The difficult part is the verb "sacar" which has so many meanings some of them conflicting. My problems is deciding if it is being used in one of the following ways:

  • people that bring out the best of you.
  • people that take the best out of you.

So the question becomes: Is the intent to set up a contrast between people that can hurt you or help you? Then my attempt would be:

There are peoples that create conflicts and people who bring out the best of you. You choose your friends and your partner. Choose to be with inspiring people.

If it is trying to highlight two ways that people can hinder you; by creating conflicts and taking the best out of you (ie. dragging you down). Then my attempt would be:

There are peoples that create conflicts and people who take the best out of you. You choose your friends and your partner. Choose to be with inspiring people.

I think more context is necessary to really give the best answer.

Also input from a native would be useful.

I agree a native input knows best as spanishdict does not seem to translate full sentences correctly ( no harm intened) - mrowe, May 21, 2014
spanish translation does a fair job though but not 100 percent correct I do not think there is a 100 percent correct translator though. - mrowe, May 21, 2014
