Mexcian Spanish Question #1

I would like to know what these words mean in English. I've looked these words up on internet, but I want to make sure I'm getting the mexican version of word

Espantoso- frightened? averiguar- to find out? Acoso- harassment? atender-? tragar-swallow? alejar? anzuelo-biat topar? atener-? chocante? agradecer

Topar es encontrarse con algo/alguien que no te esperabas: "Me tope con mi amigo el otro día = Me encontré con mi amigo el otro día" .......... "Me tope con un problema y no se solucionarlo" etc...

Espantoso - frightening; scary

Averiguar and acoso are good

Atender - to help/aid

Chocante - shocking/impacting

Alejar - get away from, distance oneself from

Atener - obey or follow like a rule

Topar - mmmmmmm i dontknow the word in english?? To reach thebottom or the top of...topar means your feetcan touch thebottom of the pool, or when youfill a glass to the very top
