I have a Spanish exam towmorrow and I get 3 minutes to plan my speaking a 2 to speak. I have been practicing with a prompt my teacher has given me but I can't get passed a minute and a half of speaking before I can't think of anything else. Help!!

Does this mean you are told the topic and then are given 3 minutes to prepare? What sort of prompt do you have? I sometimes cannot speak in my Spanish lesson because I cannot think what to say rather than how to say it. You need to relax and let your imagination take over. Is it a presentation on a topic or is it a conversation? Make sure you know connector words and a few good adjectives and adverbs. Remember if you are nervous you could just speak too quickly - there is a difference between a pause and drying. As I don't know how the exam works I cannot recommend phrases. Are there other students you could practise with - over skype or the phone taking it in turns. Buena suerte
