Exactly. - annierats, May 9, 2014
Because they're made "supposedly" from pork, and since they're wrapped like a baby in a blanket, they're called pigs in a blanket. I think it's from the U.S. or something. - Ghosthawk, May 9, 2014

In the UK pigs in blanket are small [chipolata] sausages wrapped in bacon and served with the roast turkey at Christmas. We also have sausage rolls - sausage meat in puff pastry. Toad in the hole are sausages cooked in batter [a sort of Yorkshire pudding] it can be delicious or rather dry, the picture includes bacon but that isn't necessary. If you want to pracrise English look for a video of Delia Smith cooking it.We also have faggots which are meatballs which contain offal usually served with mash and peas. And for pudding you can eat spotted dick - a steam pudding with dried fruit.

They couldn't call it a beavertail because that name is already in use in Canada.

We roll the hotdog up in a corn tortilla and then fry them. They taste much better than it sounds.
