same meaning but different words

Question

In today's posting, you used the words " a cada rato" instead of "siempre". Why do you not explain why you chose those words. They both mean "always."

To me it's just like the difference in english of saying, "every time/moment" and "always". "My wife is tired every time we go running in the morning." "Susie seems like she's always happy." But yes they often if not always could be used synonymously, with only very slight different meaning or tone.

Mi esposa a " cada rato esta" dejando su ropa sucia en el suelo. Why not use "siempre"?
