Good beer , just a note for the day
Recently here in the north of Mexico we have seen a great resurgence in "cervezas artesanales" It has been a wonderful adventure in the brewers art.
Until just a few years ago ,we had a brewery right here in Chihuahua city.
I really love the names these new brews have been given,
Norteña light Minerva - pale ale Cucupá -chupacabra- pale ale Cucupá- obscura - brown ale
If you enjoy a good beer now and then -what is your favorite ?

I enjoy Dos XX, Corona, and occasionally a Guinness. The hotter the day, the better the beer!
My list is long, however, I'll just name a few (mostly ales) Sierra Nevada, Stone,Red Hook.I could think of more if I hadn't already had some .I think a beer post should go over well pacofinkler.Make a translation game of some kind. You Rock.
Un mundo de cerveza - ¿Cuales prefiere?
A world of beer - Which do you prefer?

Hola Paco,
I don't like beer very much, but my son in law drinks a beer called Tres Torres and I think that you will find this video very interesting.
Mexicans usually go for corona
My favourite beer is Corona.
As the slogan goes: En México y en el mundo, la cerveza es Corona.
My second best is also Negra Modelo, and in fact all the beers of Grupo Modelo.
By the way, what are the differences between an ale, a pilsner, a beer...? Are there other kinds of beers?
Without a doubt the best beer in the world is Guiness.
Second best is Negra Modelo. I am currently very mad at Grupo Modelo because I can't get Negra Modela in La Paz for the past several months.
Additional mentions: Alaskan Amber, Blackened Voodoo, Lil Cowboy Stout.
I have been to Prague, Czech Republic, a couple of times, and I developed a taste for "Pilsner Urquel." It's smooth, tasty and almost impossible to get a hangover from it. Try it!
Beer in Mexico
There are two major breweries in Mexico: Grupo Modelo and Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma
Grupo Modelo is owned by Belgian-Brazilian company Anheuser-Busch InBev. It exports beer to most countries of the world. Its export brands include Corona, Modelo, and Pacífico.
Grupo Modelo, founded in 1925, is the leader in Mexico in beer production, distribution and marketing.
The main Corona brand is Corona Extra, a 4.5% alcohol by volume pale lager. It is the top selling beer from Mexico and is one of the top five selling beers worldwide.
Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma Brewery is based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México, and was founded in 1890. Currently it is a subsidiary of Heineken International.
The company operates brewing plants in Monterrey, Guadalajara, Toluca, Orizaba and, beginning in 2012, Chihuahua, producing the Dos Equis, Sol, Bohemia, Superior, Carta Blanca, Noche Buena, Indio, Casta and Tecate brands among others.
Personally, I prefer by far all the beers from Grupo Modelo, which I found superb. As I mentioned in a recent post, I'm a fan of Corona Extra, which is, for me, one of the greatest Ales in the world.
Since the two breweries compete for the domestic market it is quite common that the places that sell one group brands, such as restaurants, dont sell the other group brands.

Here is a nice review:

Negra modelo has always been my go to- but I have not had Bohemia Obscura or Noche Buena, I will have to look for those. (More beers at the link, I just picked out the two I want to try):
Bohemia ObscuraFor real beer lovers who want to go beyond the typical offerings with something easy to find, Bohemia is the clear winner. This tasty bock-style beer was developed by German immigrants and has tremendous depth compared to its peers on the shelf. It also has more alcohol, at 5.3%.
Noche BuenaOnly available around the Christmas holidays each year, this is a dark copper-colored bock style beer at 5.3% alcohol that is more like a flavorful Shiner Bock than something from Bavaria. Its a nice break from the norm though and goes on sale in January for close-out prices in supermarkets.
'Isla Oscura' que es hecho en las islas de Orkney en el lejos nor donde no hay mucho sol...
