Superar el/pasarse del tope/límite, rebasado, ser rebasado, extralimitar, sobregirado, estar en el/llegar al tope, sobrepasar, ser sobrepasado, más allá del límite/de lo permitido, and few more.

It is more American than British but is used and understood in both countries. I have heard it used mainly when someone has spent their money ie maxed out on their credit cards - you have a credit limit and when you have reached it on your cards you are maxed out - reached the maximum/ the limit. It could also be used less often for if you are overloaded with work - in other words you have reached your limit. Possibly saturado or al limite. However, wait for other answers
