Oh, I loved, loved casados! The plátanos! Delicious. Breakfast is always very, very hearty in Costa Rica. They are early birds! I learned to make congrí from some Cuban friends (so similar to gallo pinto) and now I often serve this with my own breakfast after I saw it served in C. R. I just never got the hang of making the plantains... I miss them and always order them when I go back to Central America.
