preguntarse si with the subjunctive?

preguntarse si with the subjunctive?

Simple question, I think...

I was wondering if you would use the subjunctive after a phrase like "Me preguntaba si..."?

So, "Me preguntaba si use el subjunctivo despues de una frase como este."

Thanks for any help!

Generally speaking preguntarse si is always followed by the indicative, usually either the present indicative or the conditional.

Part of the reason is that, apart from one exception that I know of, si can never be followed by the present subjunctive - so this would rule out referring to any future or anticipated event, after preguntarse si, with the subjunctive.
