La oración ¨I may gave a cold es igual a decir: *Puede que te haya dado un resfriado. *

No sé cómo traducirlo.

How about "I think you caught a cold" or maybe even "You caught yourself a cold".

Someone else can give you a cold, but it sounds strange to me to say "I gave myself a cold" in American English.
