How would I fill in the blank? démelo does not work?? —Profesora, ¿le damos a Ud. la tarea ahora? —Sí, por favor, ____ ahora.

Démelo has two problems: it refers to "la tarea", so it would have to be "la" on the end. Secondly, the first sentence is in the first person plural - we. Her response would be addressed to all the students - third person plural. Think on that for your answer.

Sí, por favor, démela ahora. If she is speaking directly to a student.

Sí, por favor, démenla ahora. If she is speaking to all the students.

It would be "dámela" if she speaks in not so formal way (like "tú" and not "usted") It would be "dádmela" if she speaks in not formal way in plural (like "vosotros")

Remember vosotros is only used in Spain. In Spain the correct way it would be the second option because it's more common to speak like "tú" and "vosotros" in a school.
