Blog Post -- ¿Me puede pasar corriente?
I haven't been blogging much lately, but I finally posted again, this time about asking someone to give your car a jump start.
I hope you find it useful.
Here are couple of other posts I wrote as well that you all may like:
More great Mexican slang and other Spanish words I picked up in my travels to Mexico.

Rodney, take care with ' hacer paja' ...You know the mistake Mitchubishi made with Pajero..
I didn't know the meaning of your first phrase "¿Me puede pasar corriente?", but I knew the last two (with the exception of the 2nd one referring to a cured meat).
I clicked on one of your links and found the phrase "Que padre, que chido, que bien". Can you tell me exactly what it means in Northern Mexico? I would just like to know what I am exactly saying when I toss around a new phrase. lol
Thanks, and there's a lot of good stuff at your links.
Hey Esteban3304,
Sorry to take so long to reply.
Que bien is actually very neutral Spanish, and isn't restricted to Mexico. It's along the lines of cool, that's great, wonderful something like that.
I just got a new job -- ¡Que bien!
Chido is actually more of a Mexico City thing. You're probably more likely to hear que padre up north. They carry the same meaning as que bien, they're just regional variations, although these are very Mexican terms. You may also hear está padre/chido.
If you poke around enough on my blog you will probably find a post where I talked about both of those.
If you want to learn some more Mexican slang and find out where I learned a lot of this from (aside from hanging out in bars) take a look at this post:

Chido and padre are the Mexican ways of saying cool.
