I'm looking for a Spanish term to call my very good friend. She speaks Spanish fluently. I'm male and she's female but I'm not looking for a romantic term, just one that conveys that she's a special friend. Buen amiga didn't seem like enough. Thoughts?

Pues por ejemplo puedes decir "Una buena amiga" o "Una amiga cercana" también puedes decir "Mi mejor amiga"
Así que la puedes decir "Eres mi mejor amiga" o "Eres muy buena amiga mía"
